The softest alpaca yarn comes from a baby’s first shearing. We bundle up the wool that comes from around its neck – that’s the fluffiest of the bunch – so it’s no surprise that it comes in limited amounts. Sugar Baby Alpaca is soft, fine and fab for delicate or luxe knits.

Perfect for any piece that benefits from lightness and drapes. Our favorite items to knit with this are mittens, gloves, hats and sweaters. Its hypoallergenic and thermal properties also make it the best yarn for babies.
It works well with the Moss Stitch, Stocking Stitch, and Cable Knits.
