New spot for an old quilt…the pattern for the quilt can be found in the gorgeous quilting book, “Savor Each Stitch” by Carolyn Friedlander. I love how versatile quilts are and I love how this one looks with my felted cross by local Boulder fiber artist, Maryann Quinn and my chair reupholstered by the @upholsteryshop in Lyons, of course using fabric from @fabricateboulder 😊

If you’re anywhere near Boulder, try and catch #BIFF’s second and final showing of the inspiring documentary, “Fashion Reimagined” - 6:45pm, tonight (3/3) @CenturyBoulder. It’s an insightful look at the enormous negative impact the fashion industry has and what a few people are attempting to do about it. It’s also a gentle reminder of the importance of the choices we all make on a daily basis.

And how great is it that we live in a place that values independent films?! Thanks to the Colorado Film Society and all of the volunteers and sponsors that help make BIFF happen.

Knit a Monet Vest – CHECK! I love how this turned out. We have these kits available in four colorways and @woolandthegang has an excellent video that clearly explains every step. It’s a very approachable project for a confident beginner.

It was a beautiful week in the Colorado Rockies. I picked up some of our fabric just outside of Edwards, CO. DM me if you’d like to stop by and shop in the Boulder area. All quilting cottons are now $6/yard. Many will be added to our website soon.

And if you’re anywhere near Beaver Creek, there are two lovely shops well worth the stop. The first is one of the most beautiful yarn shops I’ve ever visited - @makerandstitch. The second is European-inspired @hyggeelife. I love my Italian washable paper breadbasket!

New favorite top! It’s the Rae Top by @tessutifabrics - super straight forward and I love the cut. Dress it up or down and it’s perfect for layering. The pattern works especially well with Indian cottons like these two from @merchantandmills (the Spot Indigo is still available on our site).

Vintage Palm Springs score! Are you kidding me?! This classic dress reminds me of a muumuu of my Grandma Marian’s. I saved it and repurposed every last inch. She was so elegant, and kind. Loved black and white, and large scale prints. And she is likely where my lifelong love of fabric originated.

By the way, I hope this post doesn't sound tone deaf. My heart aches for those who have experienced the most recent profound loss in our community, knowing that it could easily have been any of our neighborhoods. Please know I am working hard to figure out how @fabricateboulder can best assist those in need. ❤️

I love making and gifting ornaments, especially ones made with beautiful and sentimental fabric. Some of these were quilted using my dad’s shirts, making them extra special. They’re excellent stash busters and look pretty on gifts. Pro tip: cookie cutters work well for tracing!
