Mrs Moon | Podgy | English Mustard

Podgy is Mrs Moon’s super chunky yarn and it’s perfect for almost instant accessories. Podgy is made from the same delicious mix as Plump – 80% ethically sourced superfine merino and 20% baby alpaca – but it’s twice the thickness and has a twist to lock in the softness.

We currently have three shades in stock: Pepper (light marl grey) and English Mustard (a zingy green/yellow) and Toffee.

Ethically Sourced
The tops are from mulesing-free* Merino sheep from ethical farms, all the wool is shorn and not a bi-product of the animal skin industry as the sheep are kept for wool production alone.  The alpaca is also shorn, the animals being kept for fibre production only.

Washing
Podgy is made from the highest quality superfine merino and baby alpaca. These luxurious fibers and should be treated carefully by delicately hand washing. Use a neutral, mild detergent that is preferably Woolmark recommended and do not agitate or twist the fibers to retain their gorgeous softness and shape.

Shedding
Because of the roving nature of these yarns (they are single ply, rather than tightly twisted), some shedding may occur.  The best way to address this is to spray your finished garment with water and leave to dry flat naturally before the first wearing, setting the fibers.
