Quilting For Teens
January 27, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 2:00pm on Sunday, repeating until January 27, 2019
In this three class series, students will learn how to construct a quilt from start to finish. This is a fun introduction to quilting for the novice textile artist. We will start with the basics of choosing fabrics, cutting with the use of a rotary cutter and mat, pressing, and piecing 1/4 inch seams as we build the quilt. Following the completion of the quilt top you will learn how to baste the layers together, machine quilt and bind your quilt. Students will also learn essential techniques and time-saving strategies. The skills learned in this class will provide a foundation to build good craftsmanship, sewing habits, and safety.
Series is offered on Sunday afternoons in January, the 13th, 20th and 27th from 2 – 5pm. Perfect for ages 11 & up.
Cost: $150 plus materials.
